Icatibant Glenmark is a medicine used to treat symptoms of hereditary angioedema (HAE) in adults, adolescents, and children aged 2 years and older by blocking the effect of bradykinin.
Adults receive one injection (3 ml, 30 mg) and children (2-17 years) receive a weight-based dose (1-3 ml, 10-30 mg) as soon as an HAE attack starts.
The medicine is given as an injection under the skin into the fatty tissue of the abdomen. Each pre-filled syringe is for single use only.
No more than 3 injections within 24 hours. If you need more than 8 injections in a month, talk to your doctor.
