How to Use
Dosage
For adults, the usual dose is one injection (30 mg). For children and adolescents (2-17 years), the dose is 1-3 ml, based on body weight.
Method
Inject under the skin (subcutaneously), typically into the fatty tissue in the stomach area.
Important
Do not take more than three injections within 24 hours. If you need more than 8 injections per month, consult your doctor.
Possible Side Effects
COMMON
- •Pain, bruising, numbness, itching, skin redness, feeling of warmth at the injection site
- •Nausea
- •Headache
- •Dizziness
- •Fever
- •Rash
- •Abnormal liver function test results
RARE
- •Hives (urticaria)
Important Warnings
- Do not use if you are allergic to ikatibant or any other ingredient in this medicine.
- Talk to your doctor before use if you have heart problems (angina) or have recently had a stroke.
- Tell your doctor right away if your HAE symptoms get worse after taking this medicine.
- If you get throat swelling (laryngeal attack) after injection, seek immediate medical help.
- If your symptoms do not improve, talk to your doctor about additional doses.

- Do not breastfeed for 12 hours after your last dose.
- Do not drive or operate machines if you feel tired or dizzy after a HAE attack or after using this medicine.
