How to Use

Dosage

For adults and adolescents (12 years or older, weighing at least 40 kg): Start with one capsule (400 mg), then take one capsule every 6 hours if needed.

Method

Take the capsule with water. Do not chew it. If you have a sensitive stomach, take it with food.

Important

Do not take more than 3 capsules (1200 mg) within 24 hours.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Digestive issues such as heartburn, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, gas, diarrhea, constipation, and minor bleeding in the stomach or intestines.
RARE
  • Stomach and intestinal ulcers (sometimes with bleeding or perforation); mouth sores; stomach inflammation; worsening of colitis or Crohn's disease.
  • Central nervous system disorders such as headache, dizziness, insomnia, agitation, irritability, or tiredness.
  • Vision problems.
  • Allergic reactions like rash, itching, and asthma attacks (stop use and tell your doctor right away).
  • Various skin rashes.
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus).
  • Kidney damage and increased uric acid in the blood.
  • Impaired hearing.
  • Increased urea in the blood.
  • Decreased hemoglobin levels in the blood.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to ibuprofen or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have had asthma, breathing difficulties, a runny nose, or a rash after taking aspirin or other painkillers.
  • Do not use if you have or have had a stomach ulcer, bleeding, or a tear in your stomach or intestines.
  • Do not use if you have severe liver, kidney, or heart disease, or if you are severely dehydrated.
  • Do not use during the last three months of pregnancy.

  • Do not give to children under 12 years old or weighing less than 40 kg.
  • If you have an infection, this medicine may hide symptoms like fever and pain. Talk to a doctor if your symptoms continue or get worse.
  • Seek immediate medical help if you notice signs of gut bleeding (like black stools or vomiting blood), severe allergic reactions (like trouble breathing or facial swelling), or serious skin reactions (like rash or blisters).
  • Talk to your doctor before use if you have heart problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, smoke, or have a family history of heart disease or stroke.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. For short-term use only. Consider adverse renal effect in chronic kidney disease. Do not use in severe renal impairment. Increases swelling, worsens renal and heart failure and causes cardiovascular events. Increases risk of bleeding, especially in the gastrointestinal tract. Consider potential interactions especially with preparations that increase risk of bleeding. (updated 16.9.2024)
