How to Use

Dosage

The dose depends on the child's weight, typically 7-10 mg of ibuprofen per kg of body weight per dose, with at least 6 hours between doses. For children weighing 7-9 kg (6-12 months): 2.5 ml (50 mg ibuprofen); 10-15 kg (1-3 years): 5 ml (100 mg ibuprofen); 16-19 kg (3-6 years): 7.5 ml (150 mg ibuprofen); 20-29 kg (6-9 years): 10 ml (200 mg ibuprofen).

Method

Shake the bottle well. Use the dosing syringe provided to draw up the correct amount of syrup. Slowly give the medicine into the child's mouth. After use, detach and rinse the syringe parts with warm water and dry. If your child has a sensitive stomach, give with food.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 30 mg of ibuprofen per kg of body weight. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Use for a maximum of 3 days.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Heartburn, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, gas, diarrhea, constipation.
  • Slight blood loss from the digestive tract (which can rarely lead to anemia).
RARE
  • Headache, dizziness, sleeplessness, agitation, irritability, fatigue.
  • Stomach ulcers, sometimes with bleeding and perforations in the intestines (which can sometimes be life-threatening).
  • Mouth sores, worsening of colon inflammation or Crohn's disease, stomach lining inflammation.
  • Various skin rashes.
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus).
  • Kidney tissue damage (especially with long-term use).
  • Increased uric acid levels in the blood.
  • Swelling and too much protein in the urine (nephrotic syndrome), kidney inflammation, acute kidney failure.
  • Liver dysfunction, liver damage (especially with long-term use), liver failure, hepatitis.
  • Hair loss.
  • Symptoms of meningitis (such as severe headache, nausea, vomiting, fever, stiff neck, decreased consciousness).
  • Psychotic reactions, depression.
  • Palpitations, heart failure, heart attack.
  • High blood pressure.
  • Inflammation of the esophagus or pancreas, intestinal narrowing.
  • Severe allergic reactions (swelling of the face, tongue, or throat, difficulty breathing, fast heart rate, low blood pressure, or shock).

Important Warnings

  • Do not give if your child is allergic to ibuprofen or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not give if your child has previously had asthma attacks, swelling, or skin reactions with aspirin or other NSAID pain relievers.
  • Do not give if your child has severe kidney, liver, or heart problems.
  • Do not give if your child is severely dehydrated due to vomiting or diarrhea.
  • Do not give if your child has stomach ulcers, intestinal bleeding, or brain bleeding.

  • Contact a doctor if symptoms do not improve within 3 days or get worse.
  • Avoid use if your child has chickenpox.
  • Make sure your child drinks enough fluids, especially with fever, diarrhea, or vomiting.
  • Stop use immediately and seek medical help if you notice severe skin reactions (such as widespread rashes, blisters, fever, or facial swelling).
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose or use for more than 3 days, as high doses may slightly increase the risk of heart attack or stroke.
