How to Use

Dosage

The dosage depends on the child's weight and age, typically 7-10 mg per kg of body weight per dose.

Method

Shake the bottle, open the child-proof cap, attach the dosing syringe, and draw the correct amount of syrup. Give the syrup slowly into the child's mouth, ensuring they swallow it.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 30 mg per kg of body weight. Do not exceed the recommended dose. There should be at least 6 hours between doses.

  • Mild blood loss through the digestive tract (rarely leading to anemia)
RARE
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Sleeplessness
  • Agitation or irritability
  • Fatigue
  • Stomach ulcers, sometimes with bleeding or perforation (which can rarely be fatal)
  • Sore mouth (ulcerative stomatitis), worsening of bowel conditions like colitis or Crohn's disease, or stomach lining inflammation (gastritis)
  • Various skin rashes
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  • Kidney tissue damage (papillary necrosis), especially with long-term use
  • Increased uric acid levels in the blood
  • Vision problems
  • Severe allergic reactions (e.g., swelling of face/tongue/throat, breathing difficulties, rapid heartbeat, low blood pressure, shock)
  • Blood disorders (e.g., anemia, low white blood cells, low platelets)
  • Severe skin reactions (widespread rash, high fever, swollen lymph nodes, red peeling rash, target-like spots with blisters)
  • Worsening of infections (e.g., severe skin infections with pain, high fever, swelling, blisters, tissue death)
  • Liver problems (impaired function, damage, inflammation, or failure of the liver), hair loss
  • Aseptic meningitis (severe headache, nausea, vomiting, fever, stiff neck, or reduced consciousness)
  • Psychotic reactions or depression
  • Heart palpitations, heart failure, or heart attack
  • High blood pressure
  • Inflammation of the esophagus or pancreas, or narrowing of the intestines

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if your child is allergic to ibuprofen or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if your child has previously had asthma, breathing problems, swelling of the face or throat, or skin reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAID pain relievers.
  • Do not use if your child has or has had recurrent stomach ulcers or bleeding in the digestive tract.
  • Do not use if your child has severe liver, kidney, or heart failure.
  • Do not use if your child is severely dehydrated due to vomiting, diarrhea, or not drinking enough fluids.

  • Do not use if your child has unexplained blood clotting disorders.
  • Contact a doctor immediately if your child has an infection and the symptoms (like fever and pain) continue or get worse while taking this medicine.
  • Avoid using this medicine if your child has chickenpox, as it may worsen skin infections.
  • Stop using Ibuxin syrup and contact a doctor immediately if your child develops a severe skin rash, blisters, or other signs of an allergic reaction.
  • This medicine may cause a slightly increased risk of heart attack or stroke, especially with high doses or long-term use. Do not exceed the recommended dose or treatment duration (3 days).
