How to Use

Dosage

For adults and children over 12 years: ½-1 tablet, 1-3 times a day. For children (4-8 years, 20-25 kg): ½ tablet up to 3 times a day. For children (8-12 years, 25-40 kg): ½ tablet up to 4 times a day. Not for children under 20 kg.

Method

Take tablets with plenty of liquid, such as a glass of water. Taking it at the same time each day helps maintain its effect and makes it easier to remember.

Important

For adults and children over 12 years: 3 tablets (1200 mg). For children, the maximum daily dose is 30 mg per kg of body weight.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Increased bruising or nosebleeds.
  • Low mood or drowsiness.
  • Dizziness or headache.
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus).
  • Worsening heart failure (increased swelling or shortness of breath), or swelling of the feet and hands.
  • Heartburn, upper abdominal pain, nausea, or diarrhea.
  • Hives, skin itching, or severe swelling of the skin or mucous membranes.
RARE
  • Nervousness, confusion, nightmares, hallucinations, paranoia, insomnia, or tingling/numbness.
  • Mouth inflammation, stomach/intestinal ulcers, bleeding or bloody stools, intestinal perforations, worsening of inflammatory bowel disease, or intestinal narrowing.
  • Decreased red or white blood cells (can cause easy bruising, bleeding, unexplained fever, flu-like symptoms, or sore throat).
  • Increased potassium levels in the blood.
  • Blurred vision, changes in the cornea, or hearing loss.
  • Meningitis (in certain conditions), worsening of heart disease (chest pain, arrhythmias), worsening of breathing or asthma, or severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis).
  • Elevated liver enzymes, jaundice, or liver inflammation.
  • Severe peeling or blistering skin reactions, photosensitivity, worsening acne or psoriasis, hair loss, or lupus-like symptoms (SLE).
  • Impaired kidney function.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you have a stomach or duodenal ulcer, or a history of bleeding or perforation in your digestive tract.
  • Do not use if you have a bleeding disorder (e.g., hemophilia) or are taking medicines that prevent blood clotting (blood thinners).
  • Do not use if you have severe heart failure or are in the last three months of pregnancy.
  • Do not use if you have asthma or are allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin, or other similar painkillers (NSAIDs).
  • Stop taking this medicine and contact a doctor immediately if you develop difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat, severe skin rash, blisters, or chest pain.

  • Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration, as this may increase the risk of heart attack or stroke, especially with high doses and long-term use.
  • Contact a doctor if you have an infection and symptoms like fever and pain persist or worsen, as this medicine can mask signs of infection.
  • Children and adolescents who are dehydrated are at risk of kidney problems.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. For short-term use only. Consider adverse renal effect in chronic kidney disease. Do not use in severe renal impairment. Increases swelling, worsens renal and heart failure and causes cardiovascular events. Increases risk of bleeding, especially in the gastrointestinal tract. Consider potential interactions especially with preparations that increase risk of bleeding. (updated 16.9.2024)
