How to Use

Dosage

Adults and adolescents weighing 40 kg or more (over 12 years old): Take 1-2 tablets (200–400 mg) at a time, up to 3-4 times a day as needed, with at least 6 hours between doses. Children weighing 20–29 kg (7–9 years old): Take 1 tablet (200 mg) 1–3 times a day as needed, with at least 6 hours between doses. Children weighing 30–39 kg (10–11 years old): Take 1 tablet (200 mg) 1–4 times a day as needed, with at least 6 hours between doses.

Method

Take the tablets by mouth with a glass of water. Swallow them whole; do not chew, crush, break, or suck them to avoid mouth or throat discomfort. If you have a sensitive stomach, take the tablets with food.

Adults and adolescents weighing 40 kg or more (over 12 years old): Do not exceed 6 tablets (1200 mg) in 24 hours. Children weighing 20–29 kg (7–9 years old): Do not exceed 3 tablets (600 mg) in 24 hours. Children weighing 30–39 kg (10–11 years old): Do not exceed 4 tablets (800 mg) in 24 hours.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Digestive symptoms such as heartburn, stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, gas, and constipation.
  • Minor stomach and intestinal bleeding, which can occasionally lead to anemia (low red blood cell count).
RARE
  • Allergic reactions with skin rash, itching, and asthma attacks (possibly with a drop in blood pressure).
  • Headache.
  • Dizziness or feeling tired.
  • Agitation and irritability.
  • Drowsiness.
  • Sleep difficulties.
  • Spinning sensation (vertigo).
  • Various skin rashes.
  • Stomach or intestinal ulcers, possibly with bleeding and perforation (a hole in the digestive tract wall).
  • Worsening of colitis (inflammation of the large intestine) and Crohn's disease.
  • Inflammation of the stomach lining (gastritis).
  • Inflammation of the mouth lining with sores (ulcerative stomatitis).
  • Toxic optic neuropathy (vision nerve damage caused by a toxic substance).
  • Hearing loss.
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus).
  • Kidney tissue damage (papillary necrosis), increased uric acid in blood, increased urea in blood.
  • Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas).
  • Esophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus).
  • Formation of membrane-like constrictions in the intestines.
  • Impaired liver function, liver failure, acute hepatitis (liver inflammation), liver damage especially with long-term treatment.
  • Problems with blood cell production (anemia, low white blood cells, low platelets, low all blood cells, severe lack of white blood cells) with symptoms like fever, sore throat, mouth sores, flu-like symptoms, severe fatigue, nosebleeds, and skin bleeding.
  • Depression, psychotic reactions.
  • Palpitations (feeling of rapid, fluttering, or pounding heart), heart failure, heart attack.
  • High blood pressure, vasculitis (inflammation of blood vessels).
  • Asthma, bronchospasm, shortness of breath (breathing difficulties).
  • Hair loss (alopecia).
  • Swelling (edema) and cloudy urine (nephrotic syndrome); inflammatory kidney disease (interstitial nephritis) potentially leading to acute kidney failure. Decreased urine output, fluid retention, and general malaise can be signs of kidney disease.
  • Severe skin reaction called DRESS syndrome (Drug Reaction with Eosinophilia and Systemic Symptoms). Symptoms include rash, fever, swollen lymph nodes, and increased eosinophils (a type of white blood cell).
  • Sensations like numbness, tingling, and prickling.
  • Optic nerve inflammation.
  • Stuffy and runny nose (rhinitis).
  • Skin sensitivity to light (photosensitivity reaction).

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to ibuprofen or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have previously had an allergic reaction (like asthma, runny nose, itchy rash, swelling of the lips, face, tongue or throat) after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs.
  • Do not take if you have previously had stomach or intestinal bleeding or perforation linked to NSAID use.
  • Do not take if you currently have a stomach or intestinal ulcer or bleeding.
  • Do not take if you have an unclear blood disorder.

  • Do not take if you have severe heart failure.
  • Do not take if you have severe liver or kidney failure.
  • Do not take if you are in the last three months of pregnancy.
  • Do not take if you are severely dehydrated (e.g., from vomiting, diarrhea, or not drinking enough fluids).
  • Ibuprofen Pharmaclan can hide signs of infection like fever and pain, potentially delaying proper treatment. If your infection symptoms persist or worsen, contact your doctor immediately.
  • If you frequently get headaches despite or because of taking painkillers, consult your doctor.
  • Using high doses or for a long time may slightly increase the risk of heart attack or stroke. Do not take more than recommended.
  • Stop taking this medicine and seek immediate medical help if you develop a severe skin rash, blisters, or other allergy signs, as these can be first signs of a very serious skin reaction.
