How to Use

Dosage

For adults and teenagers 12 years and older, take 1 capsule, 1 to 3 times a day. For migraines, take 1 capsule when symptoms start; another dose can be taken after 4-6 hours if needed.

Method

Swallow the capsule whole with at least one glass of water. Do not chew. It can be taken with or without food, but taking it with food may reduce stomach irritation.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 3 capsules (1200 mg).

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Stomach issues like heartburn, stomach pain, indigestion, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, gas, and constipation.
  • Stomach ulcers or bleeding, inflamed bowels (like colitis or Crohn's disease), or mouth sores.
  • Headache, drowsiness, dizziness, tiredness, agitation, trouble sleeping, and irritability.
RARE
  • Inflamed stomach lining, kidney problems (swelling, inflammation, or reduced function), nosebleeds, asthma.
  • Skin rash, increased sun sensitivity, allergic reactions like hives or itching.
  • Depression, confusion, hallucinations, and lupus erythematosus.
  • Changes in blood test results (e.g., related to kidney, liver, blood clotting, or mineral levels).
  • Heart problems (like heart failure, heart attack, or high blood pressure), blood cell disorders (e.g., leading to fever, sore throat, tiredness, bleeding), ringing in the ears.
  • Inflammation of the esophagus or pancreas, narrowing of the intestines, liver damage (yellow skin/eyes), meningitis (not bacterial), kidney tissue damage, hair loss, psychotic reactions, or inflamed blood vessels.
  • Tingling in hands and feet, restlessness, hearing loss, general feeling of illness, vision problems due to optic nerve inflammation, or low levels of certain white blood cells.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to ibuprofen or any other ingredients in this medicine, or if you have had allergic reactions like asthma or swelling after taking ibuprofen or similar painkillers.
  • Do not take if you have a current or past history of stomach ulcers, bleeding, or perforations in the stomach or intestines (at least twice).
  • Do not take if you have severe heart, liver, or kidney failure.
  • Do not take during the last three months of pregnancy, as it can harm the unborn baby and cause problems during delivery.
  • Stop taking this medicine and seek immediate medical help if you experience signs of a serious allergic reaction, such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face/throat, or severe skin rashes.

  • Long-term use of any painkiller for headaches can make them worse. If you have regular headaches despite taking painkillers, talk to your doctor before taking more.
  • If you feel drowsy while taking this medicine, do not drive or use machines.
  • This medicine contains sorbitol and Allura Red (E129), which may cause allergic reactions.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. For short-term use only. Consider adverse renal effect in chronic kidney disease. Do not use in severe renal impairment. Increases swelling, worsens renal and heart failure and causes cardiovascular events. Increases risk of bleeding, especially in the gastrointestinal tract. Consider potential interactions especially with preparations that increase risk of bleeding. (updated 16.9.2024)
