How to Use

Dosage

Take one 400 mg capsule up to 3 times a day, as needed, with at least 6 hours between doses.

Method

Swallow the capsules whole with plenty of liquid.

Important

Do not take more than 3 capsules (1200 mg ibuprofen) in a 24-hour period.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Stomach upset, heartburn, stomach pain, feeling sick, diarrhea, throwing up, gas, constipation.
  • Small blood loss in the stomach or gut (can sometimes lead to anemia).
RARE
  • Headache, dizziness, trouble sleeping, feeling anxious, irritable, or tired.
  • Vision problems.
  • Stomach ulcers or bleeding, black stools, bloody vomit, worsening of gut diseases (like Crohn's), stomach inflammation, skin rashes.
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus).
  • Kidney damage (signs include pain in your side or stomach, blood in your pee, fever).
  • Problems with blood cells (signs like fever, sore throat, mouth sores, flu-like symptoms, extreme tiredness, nosebleeds, skin bleeding).
  • Heart problems (fast heartbeat, heart failure, heart attack), high blood pressure.
  • Asthma, trouble breathing, wheezing.
  • Liver damage (first sign can be yellow skin), acute liver inflammation.
  • Swelling (edema), less pee than usual, cloudy pee, kidney inflammation leading to kidney failure, low iron in blood.

Important Warnings

  • Stop taking Ibudon and get help right away if you have trouble breathing, swelling of your face or throat, or chest pain. These can be signs of a serious allergic reaction.
  • Stop taking Ibudon and get help right away if you get severe skin rashes, blisters, or peeling skin. These can be signs of very serious skin reactions.
  • Stop taking Ibudon and see a doctor if you have blood in your poop, black tar-like poop, or throw up blood or stuff that looks like coffee grounds.
  • Do not take Ibudon if you are allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin, other similar pain medicines, peanuts, or soy.
  • Do not take Ibudon if you have severe heart, liver, or kidney problems, or active bleeding in your brain or stomach.

  • Do not take Ibudon during the last 3 months of pregnancy.
  • Do not take Ibudon if you are very dehydrated from throwing up or diarrhea, as this can harm your kidneys.
  • If your pain doesn't get better after 4 days, or fever/migraine after 3 days, see a doctor. For young people (12-18), if symptoms don't get better after 3 days, see a doctor.
  • Ibudon can hide signs of infection. If your symptoms get worse or don't improve, see a doctor.
  • Do not drive or use machines if you feel dizzy, sleepy, or have vision problems.
