Possible Side Effects
COMMON
- •Dizziness or feeling faint (due to low blood pressure)
- •Nausea (feeling sick)
- •Slow heartbeat

- •Trouble urinating or urinating by accident
RARE
- •Muscle weakness or paralysis
- •Back pain
- •Tingling or numbness in the skin
- •Skin sensitivity or abnormal sensations
- •Allergic reactions (e.g., rash, itching)
- •Heart failure
- •Nerve pain or altered sensations due to nerve inflammation
- •Inflammation of the membranes around the spinal cord (arachnoiditis), which can cause sleepiness, joint pain, fever, or fast breathing.
- •Paralysis of movement or both sides of the body (e.g., lower body or legs)
- •Unintentional blocking of spinal nerves
- •Weakened breathing, blue lips or nails (requires immediate medical attention)
- •Sudden severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock) with rash and fainting (requires immediate medical attention)
Important Warnings

- Tell your doctor if you have a blood infection (sepsis) or problems with your blood clotting.
- Tell your doctor if you have heart disease or heart failure.
- Do not take if there is an infection at or near the injection site.
