  • Changes in blood salt levels (like too little phosphate or potassium).
  • Blood levels of bicarbonate being too high or too low (which affects how acidic or basic your blood is).
  • Too much or too little water in your body.
  • Feeling sick to your stomach (nausea).
  • Throwing up (vomiting).
  • Muscle cramps.
  • Low blood pressure.

Important Warnings

  • Don't use this medicine if you are allergic to Hemosol B0 or any of its ingredients.
  • Only trained hospital staff can give you this medicine.
  • Your blood will be checked often to ensure your body's salt and acid levels are balanced.
  • Your blood potassium will be carefully watched. You might need extra potassium if levels are low.
  • Tell your doctor about all other medicines you take. This is especially true for heart medicines (like digitalis), vitamin D, calcium pills, sodium bicarbonate, or blood thinners (like citrate), as Hemosol B0 can change how they work.
