How to Use

Dosage

For adults and children over 12: Take one 10 mg tablet once a day. For children aged 6-12: Take half a 10 mg tablet (5 mg) twice a day. If you have moderate kidney problems, take half a 10 mg tablet (5 mg) once a day.

Method

Swallow the tablet with a glass of water. You can break the tablet in half if needed.

Important

Do not take more than one 10 mg tablet in a day.

  • low blood platelet count (can cause easy bruising or bleeding)
  • uncontrolled jerking movements (tics)
  • fainting
  • uncontrolled body movements
  • muscle stiffness or spasms
  • shaking (tremor)
  • strange taste in mouth
  • blurred vision
  • trouble focusing eyes
  • uncontrolled eye rolling
  • severe allergic reaction with swelling of the face or throat (angioedema)
  • drug rash
  • problems with urination (like bedwetting, painful peeing, or trouble emptying your bladder)
  • increased hunger
  • thoughts about hurting yourself (suicidal thoughts)
  • bad dreams (nightmares)
  • memory loss or problems
  • feeling like you're spinning (vertigo)
  • inability to empty bladder completely
  • severe itching or hives after stopping the medicine
  • joint pain
  • rash with pus-filled blisters

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Heinix if you are allergic to cetirizine, any of its ingredients, or similar allergy medicines.
  • Do not take Heinix if you have very severe kidney problems.
  • Do not give this medicine to children under 6 years old.
  • Tell your doctor if you have any kidney problems, difficulty urinating, epilepsy, or if you are planning an allergy test.
  • Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine.

  • Heinix contains lactose. If you have an intolerance to some sugars, talk to your doctor.
