How to Use

Dosage

The recommended dose is 5,000 IU or 10,000 IU, given 24-48 hours after optimal egg development.

Method

Gonasi Set is a powder mixed with liquid and given as an injection under the skin or into a muscle.

Important

The maximum dose given at one time is 10,000 IU, as directed by your doctor.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Injection site reactions (redness, bruising, swelling, itching, pain)
  • Swelling
  • Mood changes
  • Headache
  • Breast pain
  • Mild to moderate Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS), causing enlarged ovaries, cysts, and abdominal pain with nausea or vomiting.
RARE
  • Severe Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS), with intense lower belly pain, nausea, vomiting, weight gain, and fluid buildup in the abdomen or chest.
  • Ovarian cyst rupture
  • Blood clots in vessels
  • Severe allergic reactions (swelling of face, eyes, lips, throat, or tongue, breathing difficulties, wheezing, rash)
  • Restlessness or agitation
  • Fatigue
  • Swelling in deeper skin layers, often with hives
  • Widespread rashes

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to this medicine or any of its ingredients.
  • Seek immediate medical help if you develop severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, sudden weight gain, or trouble breathing, as these could be signs of Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS).
  • This medicine can increase the risk of blood clots, especially if you are overweight or have a family history of clots.
  • Stop using and get urgent medical care if you experience a severe allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, or difficulty breathing.
