How to Use

Dosage

One drop in the affected eye, twice a day, for example, in the morning and evening.

Method

Wash your hands. Tilt your head back and pull down your lower eyelid to form a pocket. Put one drop into your eye, being careful not to touch your eye or eyelid with the bottle tip. Close your eye and press the inner corner for about 2 minutes. If using other eye drops, wait at least 10 minutes between applications.

Important

Do not use more than two drops per day per eye. Do not change your dose without talking to your doctor.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Burning or stinging in the eyes
  • Changes in taste
  • Redness, itching, or watering of the eyes
  • Irritation or swelling around the eyes
  • Feeling like something is in your eye
  • Eye pain or dry eyes
  • Blurred vision
  • Headache
  • Sinus infection (feeling of pressure in the nose)
  • Nausea or tiredness
RARE
  • Hives, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat (making it hard to breathe or swallow), severe skin reactions with blisters
  • Dizziness, depression, numbness or tingling in hands/feet, trouble sleeping, nightmares, memory loss, stroke, hallucinations
  • Eye inflammation, very blurry vision (sometimes temporary), detached eye membrane, droopy eyelids, double vision, eyelid crusting, swollen cornea (which can affect vision), low eye pressure, ringing in ears
  • Slow, fast, or irregular heartbeat, chest pain, low or high blood pressure, fainting, heart attack, heart failure, fluid buildup, cold hands and feet, poor blood flow
  • Shortness of breath, lung problems, stuffy or runny nose, nosebleeds, cough, sore throat
  • Stomach problems (pain, vomiting, diarrhea), kidney stones, muscle weakness, muscle pain, decreased sex drive, hair loss, worsening psoriasis, dry mouth, low blood sugar, feeling weak or tired, an autoimmune disease called SLE

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to dorzolamide, timolol, beta-blockers, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have or have had breathing problems like asthma or severe lung disease.
  • Tell your doctor if you have kidney problems, kidney stones, or severe liver problems.
  • Do not use if your blood's acid-base balance (pH) is abnormal.
  • Do not use if you have certain heart conditions, including severe heart failure or slow heart rate problems.

  • If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before using these drops and wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back in.
  • Do not touch the tip of the bottle to your eye or any other surface to avoid contamination and possible eye infection.
  • Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless your doctor says it is necessary.
  • This medicine may cause blurry vision. Do not drive or operate machinery until your vision is clear and you feel well.

Category C
