How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your dose based on your condition, body weight, and how well you respond to the treatment. It varies significantly for different conditions.

Method

This medicine is given into your vein (intravenously) by a doctor or nurse. It starts slowly, and the speed might be increased if you tolerate it well.

Important

The maximum daily dose is determined by your doctor. For some conditions, it can be up to 1 gram per kilogram of body weight per day, or a single dose of up to 2 grams per kilogram can be given over a few days.

  • Aches and pains (e.g., joint pain, back pain, muscle pain, stiff muscles, chest pain, neck pain)
  • Tiredness and weakness (e.g., fatigue, general weakness, chills, flu-like symptoms)
  • Blood changes (e.g., breakdown of red blood cells (hemolytic anemia), low hemoglobin, low white blood cells, increased white blood cells)
  • Anxiety
  • Bruising
  • Redness in palms
  • Loss of voice
  • Injection site reaction
  • Painful urination
  • Allergic reaction
  • Light sensitivity in eyes
  • Sudden severe increase in blood pressure
  • Increased blood flow
  • Hemoglobin in urine
  • Elevated ESR (a blood test result)
  • Serious blood clot issues (e.g., heart attack, stroke, lung clot)
  • Changes in kidney function (e.g., back pain, tiredness, reduced urine)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to human normal immunoglobulin or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have very low IgA levels in your blood and have developed antibodies against IgA.
  • Reactions can occur if the infusion speed is too fast. Your doctor will adjust the speed carefully.
  • You will be closely monitored during and after the infusion, especially for the first dose or if you switch products.
  • If you experience severe side effects or a shock reaction (like sudden low blood pressure or breathing difficulties), the infusion will be stopped immediately.

  • There is a risk of kidney problems, especially if you have existing kidney issues, diabetes, or are over 65. Stay hydrated, and your doctor will monitor your kidney function.
  • This medicine can cause red blood cells to break down. Seek medical help if you experience paleness, tiredness, dark urine, shortness of breath, or a fast heartbeat.
  • This medicine can reduce the effectiveness of some live vaccines. You may need to wait 3 months to 1 year before getting certain vaccinations.
  • Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to have a baby.
  • This medicine may cause dizziness or other reactions that affect your ability to drive or use machines. Wait until these effects pass.
