How to Use

Dosage

Treatment usually starts with a low dose of 8 mg once a day, which your doctor may slowly increase over time.

Method

Swallow the capsule whole with water or other liquid in the morning, preferably with food, and do not chew or crush it; remember to drink plenty of fluids.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 24 mg, taken once a day.

Important Warnings

  • This medicine is only for Alzheimer's disease and not for other types of memory problems or confusion.
  • Be aware of serious skin reactions, heart problems, and seizures; if these occur, stop taking the medicine and seek immediate medical help.
  • This medicine can cause weight loss, so your doctor will check your weight regularly.
  • This medicine is not recommended for children or teenagers.
