Important Warnings

  • If your kidneys don't work well, the medicine must be given over at least 1 hour to prevent high potassium levels and heart rhythm problems.
  • If you have a strong reaction during the infusion, treatment must be stopped for 15 minutes. If the reaction happens again, continue treatment the next day with a smaller dose.
  • Your kidney and liver function, blood salt levels (like magnesium and potassium), and blood counts should be checked often during treatment.
  • Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all other medicines you are taking, even those bought without a prescription.
  • Taking Fungizone with certain other medicines (like corticosteroids, digoxin, or muscle relaxants) can increase side effects.

  • Serious lung reactions have occurred in patients receiving Fungizone with or soon after white blood cell transfusions. There should be a long gap between these treatments, and your lung function should be monitored.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before using this medicine. Limited information is available about its use during pregnancy, and it's unknown if it passes into breast milk.
  • Some side effects, like dizziness, blurred vision, or double vision, can affect your ability to drive or use machines.
