How to Use

Dosage

Usually 2-3 drops (500–750 IU) daily to prevent vitamin D3 deficiency or strengthen bones. For treating vitamin D3 deficiency, the dose is usually 3 drops (750 IU) daily, and your doctor may adjust it.

Method

Take the drops with a spoon. You can mix them with a small amount of cold or lukewarm food or drink and consume it all right away.

Important

Do not take more than 16 drops (4000 IU) per day. Your doctor may give different instructions for children.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Too much calcium in the blood (hypercalcemia), which can cause nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, stomach pain, extreme thirst, muscle weakness, tiredness, drowsiness, or confusion.
  • Too much calcium in the urine (hypercalciuria).
RARE
  • Rash, itching, hives.

Important Warnings

  • If you are allergic to Vitamin D or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • If you have too much Vitamin D or calcium in your blood or urine.
  • If you have kidney stones, severe kidney problems, or kidney damage.
  • If you are taking medicine for a heart condition.
  • If you have very limited movement, as this can increase calcium levels in your blood or urine.
