How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you the right dose. Typically, for prevention or treatment, children, adolescents, and adults usually take 6 to 12 drops (400-800 IU) daily, but your doctor might adjust this.

Method

Turn the bottle upside down and gently shake until the first drop comes out. Keep the bottle vertical while dispensing. Take the drops with a spoon and mix them into a small amount of cold or lukewarm food or drink just before taking. Make sure to take the entire dose.

Important

Children under 1 year: maximum 15 drops daily. Children 1-10 years: maximum 30 drops daily. Adolescents over 11 years and adults: maximum 60 drops daily.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, stomach ache, severe thirst, weakness, drowsiness, confusion (signs of too much calcium in the blood).
  • Too much calcium in your urine.
RARE
  • Rash, itching, hives.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to vitamin D or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have too much vitamin D or calcium in your blood or urine.
  • Do not take if you have kidney stones, calcification of the kidneys, or severe kidney problems.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have kidney damage, kidney disease, heart disease, or a tendency to form calcium stones.
  • Tell your doctor about all other medicines, vitamins, or supplements you are taking that contain vitamin D or calcium.
