How to Use

Dosage

Apply a thin layer to the infected skin area 2-3 times a day.

Method

Spread a thin layer of the medicine on your skin.

Important

If you cover the treated area with bandages, applying it once a day is enough.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Skin inflammation (like contact rash or eczema)
  • Skin rash (including red, bumpy, or pus-filled spots)
  • Itching
  • Redness of the skin
  • Pain and burning feeling where you applied the medicine
  • Irritation of the skin
RARE
  • Allergic reaction (hypersensitivity)
  • Eye irritation (conjunctivitis)
  • Sudden swelling of the throat, face, lips, or mouth (angioedema)
  • Hives (itchy rash)
  • Blisters

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Fucidin if you are allergic to fusidic acid, sodium fusidate, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Fucidin cream has ingredients (butylhydroxyanisole, cetyl alcohol, potassium sorbate) that can cause skin reactions or irritate your eyes and mucous membranes. Be careful not to get the cream in your eyes when treating your face.
  • Fucidin ointment has ingredients (cetyl alcohol, wool fat, butylhydroxytoluene) that can cause skin reactions or irritate your eyes and mucous membranes. Be careful not to get the ointment in your eyes when treating your face.
  • You can use this medicine while breastfeeding, but avoid putting it on your breasts, especially nipples, if you are feeding from that breast.
