How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is one 100 mg tablet once a day.

Method

Take the tablet by mouth, with or without food.

Important

Do not take more than your prescribed dose per day.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to sitagliptin or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have or have had pancreas problems, like pancreatitis.
  • Inform your doctor about gallstones, alcohol dependence, or high levels of fats (triglycerides) in your blood, as these can increase the risk of pancreatitis.
  • This medicine is not for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
  • Tell your doctor if you have or have had kidney problems.

  • If you notice blisters or peeling skin, stop taking Frekidir and contact your doctor immediately.
  • If you have a severe allergic reaction (rash, hives, skin blistering/peeling, swelling of face, lips, tongue, throat causing breathing/swallowing issues), stop Frekidir and get medical help right away.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • This medicine, especially with other diabetes medications, can cause low blood sugar which might affect your ability to drive or use machines safely.
  • Stop taking Frekidir and contact your doctor right away if you experience severe and persistent stomach pain with or without nausea and vomiting, as these could be signs of pancreatitis.
