Fragmin is a medicine that helps prevent blood clots from forming in your body.
Your doctor will determine your individual dose. For children, doses are based on weight and age; for example, 150 IU/kg for infants (1 month to under 2 years), 125 IU/kg for children (2 to under 8 years), and 100 IU/kg for older children (8 to under 18 years), usually given twice daily.
Fragmin is usually given as an injection under the skin (subcutaneously). In some cases, such as in a hospital or for blood purification treatments like hemodialysis, it may be given into a vein.
Your doctor will determine the maximum daily dose for you based on your condition and individual needs.
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Severe renal insufficiency potentiates the response. Label Label Label. (updated 19.9.2025)
