How to Use

Dosage

One drop twice a day in the affected eye.

Method

Wash your hands. Tilt your head back, pull down your lower eyelid, and put one drop into the eye. Close your eye and press the inner corner for two minutes to keep the medicine in the eye.

Important

Do not use more than two drops per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Headache
  • Temporary stinging or burning in the eye, red eye, eye pain, itchy and irritated eyes, blurred vision, increased tear production, nearsightedness, decreased vision in dim light, and problems with eye focusing.
RARE
  • Decreased corneal sensitivity, superficial inflammation of the cornea.
  • Slow heart rate, low blood pressure.
  • Shortness of breath.
  • Nausea.
  • Depression, fatigue.
  • Dry eyes, inflammation of the eyelid and conjunctiva, vision problems, double vision, drooping eyelid (eye stays half-closed), detached retina, bleeding in the vitreous humor, stiffening of the iris (colored part of the eye), cyst formation and blood vessel widening in the iris, muscle contraction of the eyelids, narrowing of the anterior chamber of the eye, temporary cloudy lens.
  • Bronchospasm (especially in patients with obstructive airway disease, asthma, or heart failure), stuffy nose.
  • Heart failure (heart disease causing shortness of breath and swelling of the feet due to fluid retention), irregular heart rhythm, poor circulation in the extremities (cold hands and feet), poor brain circulation.
  • Anxiety, dizziness, confusion, nightmares, weakness.
  • Vomiting, diarrhea.
  • Increased saliva production, sweating.
  • Allergic reactions, which may include rash, hives, hair loss.
  • General allergic reactions including swelling under the skin (face, arms, legs), which can block airways and cause difficulty swallowing or breathing, severe and sudden life-threatening allergic reaction, itching.
  • Low blood sugar.
  • Insomnia, memory loss, hallucinations.
  • Fainting, stroke, worsening symptoms of myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness), unusual sensations like tingling.
  • Corneal inflammation, detachment of the vascular layer under the retina after filtration surgery (which may cause vision problems), and corneal ulcer (damage to the front of the eyeball).
  • Chest pain, heart palpitations, swelling (fluid retention), heart attack.
  • Raynaud's phenomenon.
  • Cough.
  • Taste disturbance, digestive problems, dry mouth, stomach pain.
  • Silvery-white rash (psoriasis-like rash) or worsening of psoriasis.
  • Muscle pain not caused by exercise.
  • Sexual dysfunction, decreased libido.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to timolol, pilocarpine, beta-blockers, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have an irregular or slow heart rhythm.
  • Do not use if you have heart failure.
  • Do not use if you have or have had breathing problems like asthma or severe lung disease that causes wheezing or a long-lasting cough.
  • Do not use if you have sudden inflammation of the colored part of your eye (iris).

  • Do not use if you have an eye disease where your pupil should not become smaller.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as this medicine may not be suitable.
  • This medicine can make your vision blurry, especially in the dark, and may cause you to feel tired or dizzy. This means it might be unsafe to drive or operate machinery.
