Fosfomycin Infectopharm is an antibiotic used to treat serious bacterial infections by killing specific types of bacteria in your body.
Your doctor or nurse will decide your dose and how often you get it. This depends on your infection, how severe it is, your kidney function, and for children, their weight and age. Your dose might be lower if you have kidney problems or need dialysis.
This medicine is given as a drip into a vein (intravenous infusion) by a doctor or nurse. The drip usually takes 15 to 60 minutes, depending on your dose.
You will usually receive this medicine 2, 3, or 4 times a day.
