How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose for regular maintenance treatment is 1 dose (12 micrograms) twice daily.

Method

Shake the inhaler 3-5 times while holding it upright. Load a dose by pressing until you hear a click. Then, inhale strongly and deeply through the mouthpiece.

Important

Maximum 2 doses (24 micrograms) per day.

  • taste disturbances
  • high blood sugar
  • chest pain or tightness in the chest
  • prolonged QT interval
  • changes in blood pressure
  • dizziness

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to formoterol or lactose monohydrate (which contains milk protein).
  • Talk to your doctor if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, low potassium, overactive thyroid, or an adrenal gland tumor.
  • Stop use and seek medical help immediately if you experience rash, swelling (eyelids, lips, face, throat), low blood pressure, fainting, or worsening breathing shortly after taking a dose.
  • Do not stop using this medicine or change your dose without talking to your doctor.
  • Not for children under 6 years of age.
