How to Use

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Dizziness
  • Headache
  • Irritation or inflammation at the injection site
  • Sudden swelling of the throat, face, lips, or mouth; redness, rash, or itching of the skin
RARE
  • Changes in heart rate, strong heartbeat
  • Anxiety, restlessness
  • Blurred vision, vision problems
  • Seizures
  • Speech problems
  • Nausea (feeling sick), stomach pain (vomiting), diarrhea, indigestion, hiccups
  • Temporary increase in liver enzymes (seen in blood tests), high blood pressure, increased CPK (a muscle test), increase in certain white blood cells, decrease in red blood cells (anemia)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Fomepizole SERB if you are allergic to fomepizole or similar medicines (pyrazoles).
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you have signs of an allergic reaction like sudden swelling of your throat, face, lips, or mouth, redness, rash, or itching.
  • If you have liver problems, your doctor will monitor your liver function with blood tests.
  • Do not use Fomepizole SERB with medicines that contain alcohol.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless absolutely necessary and advised by your doctor.
