Foliver tablets contain folic acid, a B vitamin, used to treat folic acid deficiency and related anemia, prevent certain birth defects, and reduce side effects of rheumatoid arthritis medication.
For adults, typical dosage is 1 mg daily for folic acid deficiency anemia, 4 mg daily for preventing neural tube defects in pregnancy, and for rheumatoid arthritis, 1 mg daily or 4–7.5 mg once a week. For children, the dose is up to 1 mg daily for anemia, or 1 mg daily or 1 mg per 10 kg body weight once a week for rheumatoid arthritis.

The highest recommended daily dose for adults is 4 mg for preventing neural tube defects; the maximum dose for children for anemia is 1 mg per day.
