How to Use

Dosage

1-2 drops in each affected eye 2-4 times a day, or as directed by your doctor.

Method

Shake the bottle well before use. Tilt your head back, pull down your lower eyelid, and drop 1-2 drops into your eye. Close your eye for 30 seconds. Wash your hands before and after, and do not let the tip of the bottle touch your eye.

Important

No more than 2 drops in each eye 4 times a day, unless otherwise directed by your doctor.

  • Drooping eyelid (ptosis)

  • Hypersensitivity reactions (allergies)
  • Cloudy spots on the cornea due to calcium buildup (very rare with severe corneal damage)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use FML LIQUIFILM eye drops for more than one week unless your doctor tells you to.
  • Long-term use can increase eye pressure, potentially leading to glaucoma, nerve damage, vision loss, cataracts, slowed wound healing, or eye infections. Your eye pressure should be checked regularly.
  • If you have a thin cornea or sclera, using these drops can lead to a tear (perforation).
  • If you have or have had herpes simplex in your eye, use FML LIQUIFILM only under strict medical supervision.
  • Do not share the bottle with others, as this can spread infection.

  • If your skin thins, or if you notice thin red lines or spider veins on your face, especially, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
  • These eye drops can cause temporary blurred vision. Do not drive or operate machinery until your vision is clear.
  • Benzalkonium chloride may be absorbed by soft contact lenses and can discolor them. Remove contact lenses before using these drops and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
  • Benzalkonium chloride can irritate eyes, especially if you have dry eyes or cornea problems. If you feel unusual sensations, stinging, or pain in your eye after use, consult your doctor.
  • In very rare cases, if you have severe damage to the transparent front layer of your eye (cornea), phosphates can cause cloudy patches due to calcium buildup during treatment.
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the carton.
  • Discard the bottle 28 days after first opening, even if there is still some medicine left.

Category A

Suitable for older adults. For temporary use. Start and continue therapy under supervision by an ophthalmologist. Do not use if fungal or viral infection is suspected. (updated 4.12.2023)
