How to Use

Dosage

For adults (18 years and older), start with 50 mg or 100 mg daily. For children (8 years and older) with OCD, start with 25 mg daily.

Method

Swallow the tablets whole with water. Do not chew them. The tablet can be divided into two equal doses.

Important

The maximum recommended daily dose for adults is 300 mg. For children (8 years and older) with OCD, the maximum recommended daily dose is 200 mg.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Fluvosol if you are allergic to fluvoxamine or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), including the antibiotic linezolid.
  • Do not use if you are taking tizanidine, a muscle relaxant medicine.
  • Do not use if you are taking pimozide, a medicine for mental illnesses.
  • Do not use if you are breastfeeding.

  • Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine, as it can make you sleepy and unstable.
  • If you drink a lot of caffeine, you might experience tremors, nausea, fast heartbeat, restlessness, and trouble sleeping; reducing caffeine intake can help.
