How to Use

Dosage

Take two puffs in the morning and two puffs in the evening.

Method

Breathe out fully, put the mouthpiece in your mouth, and inhale slowly and deeply while pressing the inhaler. Hold your breath for as long as comfortable, then remove the inhaler and breathe out slowly. Rinse your mouth with water or brush your teeth afterwards.

Do not take more than your doctor tells you.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Worsening of asthma
  • Headache
  • Tremor or shaking
  • Irregular heartbeat or feeling your heart beat fast
  • Dizziness
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Changes in your voice or hoarseness
  • Dry mouth, sore throat, or irritated throat
  • Skin rash
RARE
  • High blood sugar (if you have diabetes, you might need to check your blood sugar more often)
  • Fungal infection (thrush) in the mouth or throat
  • Sinus infection
  • Very fast heart rate
  • Chest pain related to heart problems
  • Muscle cramps or twitching
  • Cough or shortness of breath
  • Diarrhoea
  • Stomach upset or digestive problems
  • Changes in taste
  • Feeling dizzy or like the room is spinning
  • Unusual dreams
  • Feeling agitated or restless
  • Itchy skin
  • High blood pressure
  • Feeling unusually weak
  • Swelling in hands, ankles, or feet
  • Blurred vision
  • Sleep problems, depression, worry, aggression, anxiety, restlessness, nervousness, over-excitement, or irritability (more likely in children).
  • Low potassium in blood (can cause muscle weakness, twitching, or abnormal heart rhythm).
  • Changes in heart's electrical activity (ECG) that could lead to abnormal heart rhythm.
  • High lactic acid levels in blood.
  • Muscle pain.
  • Thinning of bones.
  • Clouding of the eye lens (cataracts).
  • Increased pressure in the eyes (glaucoma).
  • Bruising or thinning of the skin.
  • Getting infections more easily.
  • Slowed growth in children and teenagers.
  • Rounding of the face (moon face).
  • Changes in how adrenal glands work (symptoms like weakness, tiredness, stomach pain, weight loss, headache, dizziness, very low blood pressure, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or seizures).

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Flutiform if you are allergic to fluticasone propionate, formoterol fumarate, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • If your breathing gets worse immediately after using the inhaler (more wheezing or shortness of breath), stop using Flutiform and use your quick-relief inhaler. Contact your doctor right away.
  • If you get a sudden allergic reaction with swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, rash, itching, dizziness, or sudden breathing changes, contact your doctor immediately.
  • Do not stop using Flutiform suddenly without talking to your doctor, even if you feel well.
  • Talk to your doctor before using this inhaler if you have tuberculosis, a lung infection, heart problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, thyroid issues, low potassium, adrenal gland problems, liver problems, or blurred vision.

  • Tell your doctor if you are having surgery or are under a lot of stress, as your steroid treatment might need to be adjusted.
