How to Use

Dosage

Take 1 lozenge every 3-6 hours as needed.

Method

Let one lozenge slowly dissolve in your mouth. Do not swallow or chew it. Always move the lozenge around in your mouth while sucking.

Important

A maximum of 5 lozenges within a 24-hour period.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Headache, dizziness
  • Throat irritation, sore throat
  • Mouth sores or pain
  • Unusual or uncomfortable mouth sensations (e.g., burning, tingling)
  • Nausea, diarrhea
  • Skin tingling and itching
RARE
  • Drowsiness, difficulty sleeping
  • Worsening asthma, wheezing, shortness of breath
  • Blisters in mouth or throat, numb throat
  • Dry mouth, changes in taste
  • Stomach bloating, pain, gas, constipation, indigestion, vomiting
  • Fever, pain, rash, skin itching
  • Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis)
  • Anemia, low blood platelets (may cause bruising and bleeding)
  • Swelling, high blood pressure, heart failure or heart attack
  • Severe skin reactions, such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome
  • Liver inflammation (hepatitis), hypersensitivity

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to flurbiprofen or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have a history of asthma, wheezing, breathing difficulties, runny nose, facial swelling, or itchy rash after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs.
  • Do not use if you have current or past stomach or intestinal ulcers, bleeding, or perforations related to NSAID use.
  • Do not use if you have or have had severe heart, kidney, or liver failure.
  • Do not use during the last three months of pregnancy.

  • Avoid alcohol as it increases the risk of stomach bleeding.
