How to Use

Dosage

One dose (3 sprays) to the back of the throat every 3-6 hours as needed.

Method

The spray is for oral use only. Direct the spray to the back of the throat. Do not inhale while spraying.

Important

Do not exceed 5 doses (15 sprays) in a 24-hour period.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Inflammation of the lining of the mouth (stomatitis).
  • Dizziness.
  • Headache.
  • Throat irritation.
  • Mouth sores, pain or numbness in the mouth.
  • Sore throat.
  • Uncomfortable feeling in the mouth (such as warmth, burning, or tingling).
  • Nausea or diarrhea.
  • Tingling and itching sensation on the skin.
RARE
  • Blisters in the mouth and throat, numbness of the throat.
  • Feeling of swelling in the abdomen, stomach pain, flatulence, constipation, indigestion, vomiting.
  • Dry mouth.
  • Burning sensation in the mouth, altered taste.
  • Fever, pain.
  • Feeling of drowsiness or difficulty sleeping.
  • Reduced sensation in the throat.
  • Anaphylactic reaction (a severe allergic reaction).
  • Jaundice (yellowing of skin or eyes).
  • Gastrointestinal bleeding (black, hard stools, abdominal pain, blood in stools or bloody vomit).
  • Anemia (low red blood cells), thrombocytopenia (low blood platelet count, leading to bruises and bleeding).
  • Swelling (edema), high blood pressure, heart failure, or heart attack.
  • Hepatitis (inflammation of the liver).

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to flurbiprofen or any other ingredients, or if you have had allergic reactions (e.g., asthma, wheezing, itching, runny nose, rash, or swelling) to NSAIDs or aspirin.
  • Do not use if you currently have or have had stomach or intestinal ulcers or bleeding.
  • Do not use if you have had severe colitis (inflammation of the large intestine).
  • Do not use if you have had blood clotting problems or bleeding with other NSAID use.
  • Do not use during the last trimester of pregnancy. Consult a doctor for the first 6 months.

  • Do not use if you have severe heart, kidney, or liver failure.
  • This medicine is not for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
  • Do not use for more than 3 days unless directed by a doctor.
  • Avoid alcohol while using this medicine, as it increases the risk of stomach and intestinal bleeding.
  • STOP use and contact a doctor immediately if you develop severe skin reactions (e.g., blisters, peeling skin), swelling of the face/throat, breathing difficulties, or other signs of an allergic reaction.
