How to Use

Dosage

Take one lozenge and let it slowly dissolve in your mouth. Then take one lozenge every 3–6 hours as needed.

Method

Place one lozenge in your mouth and let it slowly dissolve. Move the lozenge around in your mouth while it dissolves.

Important

Do not take more than 5 lozenges in a 24-hour period.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Dizziness, headache
  • Throat irritation
  • Mouth ulcers or mouth pain
  • Sore throat
  • Unusual or unpleasant mouth sensations (e.g., warmth, burning, tingling, stinging)
  • Nausea, diarrhea
  • Tingling and itching sensation on the skin
RARE
  • Drowsiness or difficulty sleeping
  • Blisters in mouth or throat, throat numbness
  • Feeling of swelling in the stomach, abdominal pain, gas, constipation, indigestion, vomiting
  • Dry mouth, burning sensation in mouth, altered taste
  • Rash, itchy skin
  • Fever, pain
  • Worsening of asthma, wheezing, shortness of breath
  • Reduced throat sensation
  • Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to flurbiprofen or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have ever had asthma, unexpected wheezing, shortness of breath, runny nose, facial swelling, or an itchy rash (hives) after taking aspirin or another NSAID.
  • Do not take if you currently have or have had stomach ulcers or bleeding (at least two episodes of gastric ulcer), or if you have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding, perforation, severe colitis, or a bleeding disorder linked to previous NSAID use.
  • Do not take if you are in the last three months of pregnancy.
  • Do not take if you have severe heart, kidney, or liver failure.

  • Do not take Flurbiprofen Stada lozenges for more than 3 days unless a doctor tells you to.
  • Do not give these lozenges to children under 12 years of age.
  • NSAIDs can hide signs of infection like fever and pain, which might delay proper treatment. If you are taking this medicine during an infection and your symptoms do not improve or get worse, contact a doctor or pharmacist right away.
  • Stop taking this medicine and contact a doctor immediately if you develop symptoms of a severe skin reaction (rash, peeling skin, blisters) or other allergic reaction symptoms.
  • Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine as it increases the risk of stomach and intestinal bleeding.
