How to Use

Dosage

For adults, the usual dose is 100-400 MBq, adjusted by the doctor. For children, the dose is adjusted based on weight.

Method

You will receive Fludeomap as a single injection into a vein. Before the test, you must fast for at least 4 hours, drink plenty of water, and avoid strong physical activity. After the injection, you need to rest and stay still during the scan.

This medicine is given as a single injection for your diagnostic test, as determined by your doctor.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Shortness of breath
  • Low blood pressure
  • Skin rash (red, itchy, or with bumps)
  • Hives, itching, or skin irritation
  • Redness of the skin
  • Swelling in parts of the body, face, lips, tongue, or throat, which might make it hard to swallow or breathe; also local fluid buildup
  • Eye irritation or eye problems
  • Cough
  • Feeling sick (nausea) and throwing up (vomiting)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Fludeomap if you are allergic to it or any of its ingredients.
  • Tell your doctor if you have uncontrolled diabetes, an infection, an inflammatory disease, or kidney problems.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding (you will need to stop breastfeeding for 12 hours after the injection and discard the milk).
  • After the injection, avoid close contact with young children and pregnant women for 12 hours.
  • This medicine contains a small amount of radiation. Your doctor has decided that the benefits of the test are greater than the small risks from this radiation.
