How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you exactly how much to take.

Method

Take the tablets between meals, at least one hour before or two hours after eating. Swallow them with a full glass of water and do not lie down right away.

Important

Always follow your doctor's instructions for the maximum daily dose.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Nausea or diarrhea.
  • Skin rashes.
RARE
  • Severe allergic reaction with swelling of face, tongue or throat, difficulty swallowing, hives, and trouble breathing. Stop taking medicine and seek immediate medical help.
  • Severe diarrhea, often with blood or mucus, stomach pain, and fever (pseudomembranous colitis). Stop taking medicine and seek immediate medical help.
  • Low white blood cell count, leading to fever, severe general weakness, or infection symptoms like sore throat, mouth pain, or urinary problems. Stop taking medicine and seek immediate medical help.
  • Signs of liver damage, such as dark urine, pale stools, or yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice). Stop taking medicine and seek immediate medical help.
  • Sudden severe skin rash with blisters or peeling skin and mucous membranes (like in erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, or toxic epidermal necrolysis). May also include fever, eye sores, and joint pain. Stop taking medicine and seek immediate medical help.
  • Increase in a certain type of white blood cells (eosinophilia).
  • Hives (itchy skin rash).
  • Itching.
  • Very rare cases of blood and fluid imbalances (metabolic acidosis).
  • Dizziness.
  • Stomach pain, vomiting.
  • Low potassium levels in the blood (hypokalemia), which can cause muscle weakness, twitching, or abnormal heart rhythm.
  • Pain in the esophagus (food pipe) and related symptoms like difficulty swallowing, heartburn, throat irritation, or chest pain.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to flucloxacillin, penicillin, or any other ingredients in it.
  • Tell your doctor if you are allergic to other antibiotics called cephalosporins.
  • Talk to your doctor if you are elderly, have liver disease, or will be taking this medicine for a long time.
  • Tell your doctor if you are taking paracetamol, as combining it with high doses of this medicine can cause serious blood problems.
  • If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine.

  • If you are on a low-salt diet, note that this medicine contains sodium.
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
  • Finish the entire course of medicine, even if you feel better, to prevent the infection from returning.
