How to Use

Dosage

A single 0.5 ml dose.

Method

The vaccine is given as an injection into a muscle. Children under 9 years who have not been vaccinated against influenza before should receive a second dose at least one month after the first.

  • Diarrhea

  • Joint pain
  • Chills

  • Hard lump at the injection site
RARE
  • Severe allergic reactions (itchy rash, facial swelling, difficulty breathing, sudden drop in blood pressure, loss of consciousness)
  • Nerve inflammation (neuritis)
  • Brain and spinal cord inflammation (encephalomyelitis)
  • Guillain-Barré syndrome (temporary nerve inflammation causing pain, weakness, and paralysis)
  • Skin reactions that can spread over the entire body, such as itching, hives, and redness
  • Temporary swelling of lymph nodes in the neck, armpit, or groin
  • Flu-like symptoms, general feeling of illness
  • Dizziness

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to the active substances or any other ingredients in the vaccine, including egg protein, hydrocortisone, gentamicin sulfate, or formaldehyde.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have a severe infection or fever; the vaccination might need to be postponed. A minor infection, like a cold, usually does not prevent vaccination.
  • Tell your doctor if you have a bleeding disorder or bruise easily.
  • Fainting can occur with or after any needle injection; tell your doctor if you have fainted after an injection before.
  • If your immune system is weakened (e.g., due to HIV infection or certain medications), the vaccine may not provide full protection.

  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor for advice before vaccination.
  • Some side effects, such as tiredness or dizziness, may temporarily affect your ability to drive or use machines. Do not drive or operate machinery if you feel unwell.
