How to Use

Dosage

For adults, the usual dose is 1-2 tablets daily. For children, the usual dose is 0.5-1 tablet daily.

Method

Take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. The tablet can be divided into equal doses.

Important

Do not exceed 2 tablets daily for adults, or 1 tablet daily for children, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Florinef if you are allergic to fludrocortisone acetate or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Contact your doctor immediately if you experience swelling, shortness of breath, severe skin reactions, severe stomach pain, or difficulty swallowing, as these may be signs of a serious allergic reaction.
  • Tell your doctor about all your medical conditions, especially heart problems, stomach ulcers, bowel diseases, thyroid problems, liver cirrhosis, infections (like herpes simplex in the eye or tuberculosis), kidney disease, high blood pressure, blood clots, bone loss, diabetes, Cushing's syndrome, seizures, cancer, or mental health issues, before starting Florinef.
  • Contact your doctor if you experience stress, severe illness, need a vaccine, eye symptoms, mental changes (like trouble sleeping, feeling too good, personality changes, or depression), digestive problems, menstrual changes, or blurred vision while taking Florinef.
  • Do not stop taking Florinef without talking to your doctor first.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C
