How to Use

Dosage

For adults and adolescents over 16 years, take 100-1000 micrograms twice a day. For children and adolescents aged 4-16 years, take 50-200 micrograms twice a day. Not for children under 4 years.

Method

Inhale the medicine using the Diskus device. Always rinse your mouth with water immediately after each use. Use regularly, even when you feel well, as it is a preventive medicine.

Important

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Thrush (fungal infection) in the mouth and throat
  • Hoarseness
  • Bruising easily
RARE
  • Allergic skin reactions (like rash or itching)
  • Fungal infection in the esophagus
  • Cushing's syndrome (e.g., round face, weight gain, high blood pressure, muscle weakness, bone loss, mood changes), adrenal gland problems, slowed growth in children, cataracts, glaucoma
  • High blood sugar
  • Anxiety, sleep problems, changes in behavior including hyperactivity and irritability (mainly in children)
  • Wheezing that gets worse right after using the medicine (paradoxical bronchospasm)
  • Depression or aggressive behavior (especially in children)
  • Nosebleeds
  • Blurred vision

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to fluticasone propionate, lactose monohydrate, or milk protein.
  • Seek immediate medical help if you experience swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing, or sudden wheezing. These could be signs of a severe allergic reaction.
  • If your asthma symptoms get worse right after using the medicine (sudden wheezing), use a fast-acting asthma medicine and contact your doctor immediately.
  • Tell your doctor if you have any respiratory infections, like tuberculosis, fungal, or viral infections, as you might need extra treatment.
  • If you are switching from corticosteroid tablets, follow your doctor's instructions carefully. Old allergies might return, and you may feel tired, have headaches, muscle pain, or nausea as your body adjusts.

  • Tell your doctor if you have diabetes.
  • Do not change your dose without talking to your doctor if your asthma symptoms get worse.
  • Contact your doctor if you experience blurred vision or other eye problems, which could be signs of cataracts or glaucoma.
  • Do not stop using this medicine suddenly, as your symptoms might get worse. Talk to your doctor if you want to stop the treatment.
  • Contact your doctor if you are using your fast-acting asthma medicine more often than usual, or if it's not working as well.
