Possible Side Effects
RARE
- •Severe chest pain, irregular or pounding heartbeat.
- •Bleeding in the brain (symptoms like trouble speaking, dizziness, or weakness on one side of the body).
- •Feeling like you are losing touch with reality (psychosis).
- •Allergic reaction (e.g., rash, itching).
- •Large pupils, increased pressure in the eye.
- •Feeling restless, anxious, nervous, or confused.
- •Headache, trouble sleeping, shaking.
- •Burning, prickling, itching, or tingling sensation on the skin.
- •High blood pressure (with headache, shortness of breath, tiredness).
- •Difficulty breathing, fluid in the lungs.
- •Nausea, vomiting, sweating.
- •Pale skin, goosebumps.
- •Tissue damage at the injection site.
- •Muscle weakness.
- •Difficulty or inability to urinate.
Important Warnings
- Tell your doctor or nurse if you are allergic to phenylephrine or any other part of this medicine.
- Tell your doctor or nurse if you have high blood pressure or other heart problems like a slow or fast heartbeat or chest pain.
- Tell your doctor or nurse if you have poor blood circulation, especially in your hands, feet, or brain, or if your arteries are hardened.
- Tell your doctor or nurse if you have diabetes, glaucoma (high pressure in the eye), or an overactive thyroid gland.
- Tell your doctor or nurse if you are taking certain medicines for depression (MAO inhibitors) or have taken them in the last two weeks.
