  • Awareness of own heartbeats (palpitations)
  • Cerebral hemorrhage (speech disorders, dizziness, paralysis of one side of the body)
  • Psychosis (loss of contact with reality)
  • Allergic reactions (hypersensitivity)
  • Excessive dilation of pupils
  • Increased eye pressure (worsening of glaucoma)
  • Excessive sensitivity of an organ or body part
  • Restlessness (agitation)
  • Anxiety
  • Confusion
  • Headache

  • Insomnia (difficulty falling or staying asleep)

  • Burning sensation on the skin

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to phenylephrine or any other ingredients.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have very high blood pressure or severe circulation problems.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are currently taking or have taken certain antidepressant medicines called MAO inhibitors within the last two weeks.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have a severe overactive thyroid gland.
  • Tell your doctor if you have any heart problems, including irregular heartbeat, slow heart rate, or chest pain.
