How to Use

Dosage

One Femar tablet.

Method

Take the tablet whole with a glass of water, with or without food. Take it at the same time each day to help you remember.

Important

Do not exceed one tablet per day, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

RARE
  • Nervous system problems (like anxiety, nervousness, irritability, memory issues, sleepiness, or trouble sleeping)
  • Pain or burning in hands or wrists (carpal tunnel syndrome)
  • Changes in sensation, especially numbness or tingling
  • Eye problems (like blurred vision, eye irritation)
  • Skin problems (like itching, hives)
  • Vaginal discharge or dryness
  • Breast pain
  • Fever
  • Thirst, changes in taste, dry mouth
  • Dry mucous membranes
  • Weight loss
  • Urinary tract infection, frequent urination
  • Cough
  • High enzyme levels
  • Weakness, paralysis, or loss of feeling in a body part (like an arm or leg), poor coordination, nausea, trouble speaking or breathing (signs of a stroke)
  • Sudden, pressing chest pain (signs of heart disease)
  • Swelling and redness along a vein that is very sore or painful to touch
  • High fever, chills, or mouth sores due to infections (from low white blood cells)
  • Severe, long-lasting blurred vision
  • Tendon inflammation
  • Breathing difficulties, chest pain, fainting, fast pulse, bluish skin, or sudden pain in an arm, foot, or leg (signs of a blood clot)
  • Tendon rupture (a tendon tear)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to letrozole or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you still have your period (are not postmenopausal).
  • Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as it can harm your baby.
  • Tell your doctor if you have severe kidney or liver disease.
  • Tell your doctor if you have osteoporosis (brittle bones) or have had bone fractures.

  • If you experience tendon pain or swelling, rest the affected area and contact your doctor.
  • This medicine is not for use in children or adolescents under 18 years old.
  • Do not drive or operate machinery if you feel dizzy, tired, or generally unwell.
