This medicine helps lower high blood pressure and treats chest pain by widening small blood vessels without harming the heart.
The usual starting dose is 5 mg once a day, or 2.5 mg for older patients. Your doctor might adjust it to 5-10 mg daily.
Take in the morning with water. Do not cut, crush, or chew the tablet. You can take it with or without a light, low-fat meal.
The maximum daily dose is 10 mg once a day.
