How to Use

Dosage

The starting dose is 5 mg once daily. The usual maintenance dose is 5–10 mg once daily.

Method

Take the tablets in the morning with water. Do not divide, crush, or chew them. They can be taken on an empty stomach or with a light, low-fat, low-carbohydrate meal.

Important

The maximum recommended daily dose is 10 mg.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are pregnant.
  • Do not take if you are allergic to felodipin or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have untreated heart failure or a recent heart attack.
  • Do not take if you have chest pain or angina pectoris that lasts 15 minutes or longer, or is more severe than usual.
  • Talk to your doctor before taking if you have a heart valve or heart muscle disease.

  • Avoid drinking grapefruit juice as it can increase the medicine's effects and risk of side effects.
