How to Use

Dosage

Take one tablet in the morning and one tablet in the evening.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not break, crush, dissolve, suck, or chew the tablet, as this can increase the risk of side effects.

Important

Do not take more than two tablets a day. There must always be 12 hours between doses.

RARE
  • Seizures
  • Allergic reaction (hypersensitivity)
  • New or worsening facial nerve pain (trigeminal neuralgia)
  • Fast heart rate (tachycardia)

Important Warnings

  • If you are allergic to fampridine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • If you have or have ever had seizures (fits).
  • If your doctor or nurse has told you that you have moderate or severe kidney problems.
  • If you are taking a medicine called cimetidine.
  • If you are taking any other medicine that contains fampridine, as this can increase the risk of serious side effects.

  • If you are prone to infections.
  • Use a walking aid, like a cane, if needed, as this medicine can cause dizziness or balance problems, increasing your risk of falling.
  • If you have any risk factors or are taking any medicines that might increase your risk of seizures.
  • If your doctor has told you that you have mild kidney problems.
  • This medicine may affect your ability to drive or use machines due to dizziness. Make sure you don't feel dizzy before driving or operating machinery.
  • Do not breastfeed while taking this medicine.
