How to Use

Dosage

Take one Ezetimibe Accord 10 mg tablet.

Method

Take by mouth once daily, with or without food, at any time of day.

Important

The maximum daily dose is one 10 mg tablet.

  • Pancreas inflammation (often with severe stomach pain)

  • Low platelet count (can cause bruising or bleeding)

  • Shortness of breath

Important Warnings

  • Contact your doctor immediately if you experience unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness. This could be a sign of a serious muscle problem that might affect your kidneys and be life-threatening.
  • Seek immediate medical help if you have an allergic reaction with swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, which can cause trouble breathing or swallowing.
  • If you take this medicine with a statin, your doctor will check your liver function with blood tests before you start and during treatment.
  • Do not take this medicine with a statin if you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • Do not take this medicine with a statin if you have liver problems. It is also not recommended if you have moderate to severe liver disease.

  • If you have an intolerance to some sugars (like lactose), talk to your doctor before taking this medicine.
  • Do not give this medicine to children under 6 years old, as there is no information on its use in this age group.
