How to Use

Dosage

The recommended dose is one Ezetimib/Atorvastatin Krka tablet by mouth once a day.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with or without food. Do not divide the tablet.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Diarrhea
  • Muscle pain
RARE
  • Flu-like symptoms
  • Depression, difficulty sleeping, or sleep problems
  • Dizziness, headache, tingling sensation
  • Slow heartbeat
  • Hot flashes
  • Shortness of breath
  • Abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, indigestion, gas, frequent bowel movements, stomach inflammation, nausea, stomach discomfort
  • Acne, hives
  • Joint pain, back pain, leg cramps, muscle fatigue, spasms or weakness, pain in hands and feet
  • Unusual weakness, feeling tired or unwell, swelling especially in ankles (edema)
  • Increased blood levels of certain muscle or liver function values
  • Weight gain
  • Severe allergic reaction with swelling of face, tongue, and throat, which may cause breathing difficulties (requires immediate treatment)
  • Severe skin condition with severe peeling and swelling of the skin; blisters on skin, mouth, eyes, and genitals, along with fever. Rash with reddish spots, possibly blistering, especially on palms and soles.
  • Severe muscle problems (weakness, tenderness, pain, muscle rupture, or reddish-brown urine), which can be life-threatening and lead to kidney damage, especially with feeling unwell and high fever.
  • Lupus-like syndrome (including rash, joint problems, and effects on blood cells)
  • Myasthenia gravis (a disease with general muscle weakness, sometimes affecting breathing muscles)
  • Ocular myasthenia (a disease causing muscle weakness in the eyes)
  • Liver problems
  • Cough
  • Heartburn
  • Decreased appetite or loss of appetite
  • High blood pressure
  • Rash and itching (including hives)
  • Tendon injury
  • Gallstones or inflammation of the gallbladder (which may cause abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting)
  • Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas), often with severe abdominal pain
  • Decrease in blood cell count, which may cause bruising or bleeding (thrombocytopenia)
  • Nasal inflammation, nosebleed
  • Neck pain, general pain, chest pain, sore throat
  • Increased and decreased blood sugar levels (if you have diabetes, continue careful monitoring)
  • Nightmares
  • Numbness or tingling in fingers and toes
  • Decreased sensation to pain or touch
  • Taste changes, dry mouth
  • Memory loss
  • Ringing in the ears and/or head, hearing loss
  • Vomiting
  • Belching
  • Hair loss
  • Increased body temperature (fever)
  • Positive white blood cell test in urine
  • Blurred vision, vision disturbances
  • Gynecomastia (breast enlargement in men)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to ezetimibe, atorvastatin, or any other ingredients.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have or have had liver disease, or if you have unexplained abnormal liver blood test results.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or breastfeeding. If you are a woman who can become pregnant, use reliable contraception.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are taking glecaprevir/pibrentasvir for Hepatitis C.
  • Contact your doctor immediately if you experience unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness. Severe muscle problems can be life-threatening.

  • If you need to take fusidic acid for a bacterial infection, you must temporarily stop taking this medicine.
  • Do not drink more than 1-2 small glasses of grapefruit juice per day, as large amounts can affect this medicine.
  • Avoid drinking large amounts of alcohol while taking this medicine.
