How to Use

Dosage

One Ezetimib/Atorvastatin Krka tablet.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with or without food, at any time of day; do not break or divide the tablet.

Important

Do not exceed one tablet per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Diarrhea
  • Muscle pain
RARE
  • Severe allergic reaction causing swelling of the face, tongue, and throat, which may lead to breathing difficulties.
  • Severe skin condition with peeling and swelling; blisters on skin, mouth, eyes, and genitals, with fever. Rash with pink-red, possibly blistered patches, especially on palms or soles.
  • Muscle weakness, tenderness, muscle pain, muscle rupture or reddish-brown urine. Especially if you also feel unwell or have a high fever, as these symptoms may indicate abnormal muscle breakdown, which can be life-threatening and lead to kidney damage.
  • Lupus-like syndrome (including rash, joint disorders, and effects on blood cells).
  • Unexpected or unusual bleeding or bruising (may indicate a liver problem).

  • Tingling sensation ('pins and needles')

  • Unusual weakness, feeling tired or unwell
  • Swelling especially in the ankles (edema)
  • Increase in certain blood values indicating muscle or liver function (CK, creatine kinase)
  • Weight gain
  • Myasthenia gravis (a disease causing general muscle weakness, sometimes affecting breathing muscles).
  • Ocular myasthenia (a disease causing muscle weakness in the eyes).
  • Raised red rash, sometimes target-shaped.
  • Liver problems.
  • Cough.
  • Heartburn.
  • Decreased appetite, loss of appetite.
  • High blood pressure.
  • Tendon injury.
  • Gallstones or inflammation of the gallbladder (which may cause abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting).
  • Pancreatitis, often with severe abdominal pain.
  • Decrease in blood cell count, which may cause bruising/bleeding (thrombocytopenia).
  • Inflammation of nasal passages, nosebleed.
  • Neck pain, pain, chest pain, sore throat.
  • Increased and decreased blood sugar levels (if you have diabetes, continue careful monitoring of blood sugar).
  • Nightmares.
  • Numbness or tingling in fingers and toes.
  • Decreased pain or touch sensation.
  • Taste changes, dry mouth.
  • Memory loss.
  • Ringing in the ears and/or head, hearing loss.
  • Vomiting.
  • Belching.
  • Hair loss.
  • Increased temperature.
  • Positive white blood cell test result from urine.
  • Blurred vision, visual disturbances.
  • Gynecomastia (enlargement of breast tissue in men).
  • Sexual difficulties.
  • Breathing problems, such as persistent cough and/or shortness of breath or fever.
  • Diabetes (more likely if you have high blood sugar and fat levels, are overweight, and have high blood pressure).

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to ezetimibe, atorvastatin, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have or have ever had a liver disease, or if you have had unexplained abnormal liver blood test results.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Women of childbearing age must use reliable contraception.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are taking a combination of glecaprevir/pibrentasvir for hepatitis C treatment.
  • Contact your doctor immediately if you experience unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness. This could be a sign of a serious muscle condition.

  • Avoid drinking more than 1-2 small glasses of grapefruit juice per day, as large amounts can change how the medicine works.
  • Avoid excessive alcohol consumption while taking this medicine.
