How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is 10 mg once a day. Your doctor will tell you how many Everolimus Stada tablets to take.

Method

Take Everolimus Stada once a day, around the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow the tablet(s) whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush the tablets.

Important

The recommended daily dose is 10 mg. Your doctor may adjust this based on your condition.

Possible Side Effects

  • Fever and chills (signs of infection)
  • Fever, cough, difficulty breathing, or wheezing (signs of lung inflammation)
  • High blood sugar
  • Loss of appetite
  • Changes in taste

  • Mouth sores
  • Stomach upset, nausea, or diarrhea
  • Skin rash
  • Itching
  • Feeling weak or tired
  • Tiredness, shortness of breath, dizziness, or pale skin (signs of low red blood cells or anemia)
  • Swelling in arms, hands, feet, ankles, or other body parts (edema)
  • Weight loss
  • High blood fat levels (high cholesterol or triglycerides)
  • Excessive thirst, increased urination, or increased appetite with weight loss and tiredness (signs of diabetes)
  • Bleeding, for example in the intestine
  • Significantly reduced urine output (sign of kidney failure)
  • Easy bruising or bleeding without injury (signs of low platelet count)
  • Shortness of breath
  • Thirst, low urine output, dark urine, dry, red, or irritated skin (signs of dehydration)
  • Trouble sleeping (insomnia)
  • Headache or dizziness (signs of high blood pressure)
  • Swelling or heaviness in part or whole arm (including fingers) or leg (including toes), limited movement, or discomfort (possible signs of lymphedema)
  • Fever, sore throat due to infection, or mouth sores (signs of low white blood cells)
  • Inflammation inside the mouth, stomach, or intestines
  • Dry mouth
  • Heartburn (indigestion)
  • Vomiting
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Abdominal pain
  • Acne
  • Rash and pain in palms or soles (hand-foot syndrome)
  • Skin redness
  • Joint pain
  • Mouth pain
  • Menstrual problems, such as irregular periods
  • Low potassium in blood
  • Low phosphate in blood
  • Low calcium in blood
  • Dry skin, peeling skin, or skin damage
  • Nail problems or brittle nails
  • Mild hair loss
  • Abnormal liver test results (high ASAT or ALAT)
  • Abnormal kidney test results (high creatinine)
  • Swollen eyelids
  • Protein in urine
RARE
  • Fever, rash, joint pain and inflammation, tiredness, loss of appetite, nausea, yellow skin, upper right belly pain, pale stools, or dark urine (may be signs of reactivated Hepatitis B)
  • Shortness of breath, difficulty breathing when lying down, or swollen feet and legs (signs of heart failure)
  • Swelling and/or pain in one leg, usually the calf, with redness or warmth in the affected area (signs of a blood clot in a leg vein)
  • Sudden difficulty breathing, chest pain, and coughing up blood (possible signs of a lung embolism)
  • Significantly reduced urine output, swollen legs, confusion, and back pain (signs of acute kidney failure)
  • Weakness, spontaneous bleeding and bruising, and frequent infections with symptoms like fever, chills, sore throat, or mouth sores (signs of low blood cell count)
  • Loss of taste
  • Coughing up blood
  • Menstrual disorders, such as missed periods
  • More frequent daytime urination
  • Chest pain
  • Abnormal wound healing
  • Hot flashes
  • Watery, itchy, and red eyes (conjunctivitis)
  • Shortness of breath or rapid breathing (signs of acute respiratory distress syndrome)
  • Tiredness, shortness of breath, dizziness, or pale skin (signs of severe anemia)
  • Swelling of the face around the eyes and mouth, inside the mouth and/or throat and tongue, or difficulty breathing and swallowing (angioedema - severe allergic reaction signs)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to everolimus or similar medicines (like sirolimus or temsirolimus) or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have liver problems or a disease that has affected your liver, as your dose may need to be changed.
  • Inform your doctor if you have diabetes or notice increased thirst or frequent urination, as Everolimus Stada can raise blood sugar.
  • Do not get vaccinated without talking to your doctor first while on this treatment.
  • Tell your doctor if you have high cholesterol, as this medicine can increase blood fat levels.

  • Inform your doctor if you recently had major surgery or have unhealed wounds, as this medicine can affect wound healing.
  • Tell your doctor if you have an infection; it might need to be treated before starting this medicine.
  • Let your doctor know if you have had Hepatitis B, as it could become active again during treatment.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had or will have radiation therapy, as this medicine can cause issues related to it.
  • This medicine can weaken your immune system, making you more prone to infections. Contact your doctor immediately if you get a fever or other signs of infection.
  • This medicine can affect your kidney function, so your doctor will monitor your kidneys during treatment.
  • Mouth sores can occur; your doctor may pause or stop the treatment if this happens.
  • Be careful when driving or using machines, as this medicine can cause unusual tiredness.
  • This medicine contains lactose. If you have an intolerance to some sugars, talk to your doctor before taking it.
  • This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy as it may harm the unborn child. Use effective contraception during treatment and for 8 weeks after.
  • Do not breastfeed during treatment or for 2 weeks after the last dose, as it may harm your baby.
  • This medicine may affect female fertility (e.g., missed periods). Talk to your doctor if you plan to have children.
  • This medicine may affect male fertility. Talk to your doctor if you plan to have children.
  • Seek immediate medical help if you experience difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, or severe skin itching with a red rash or bumps (signs of a severe allergic reaction).
