How to Use

Dosage

The recommended dose is 10 mg once daily, but your doctor may prescribe a lower dose if you have liver problems.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water at the same time each day, with or without food. Do not chew or crush it.

Important

The maximum recommended daily dose is 10 mg. Your doctor may adjust your dose based on your condition.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Fever and chills (signs of infection)
  • Cough and difficulty breathing (signs of lung inflammation)
  • High blood sugar
  • Loss of appetite and weight loss
  • Changes in taste
  • Headache
  • Nosebleed
  • Mouth sores and inflammation in the mouth
  • Stomach problems, nausea, diarrhea, or heartburn
  • Rash or itching
  • Tiredness, weakness, shortness of breath, dizziness, or pale skin (signs of anemia)
  • Swelling in hands, feet, or other body parts
  • High cholesterol or other blood fat levels
  • Easy bruising or bleeding (signs of low platelet count)
  • Increased thirst, low urine output, dark urine, or dry skin (signs of dehydration or kidney problems)
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • High blood pressure
  • Swelling or heavy feeling in an arm or leg (signs of lymphatic problems)
  • Sore throat or mouth sores due to infection (signs of low white blood cells)
  • Dry mouth
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Stomach pain
  • Acne
  • Rash and pain in palms and soles (hand-foot syndrome)
  • Redness of the skin
  • Joint pain
  • Irregular periods
  • Low levels of potassium, phosphate, or calcium in the blood
  • Dry skin, flaky skin, or skin damage
  • Nail damage, brittle nails
  • Slight hair loss
  • Changes in liver or kidney function tests
  • Eyelid swelling
  • Protein in urine
RARE
  • Fever, rash, joint pain and inflammation, tiredness, loss of appetite, nausea, jaundice, abdominal pain, pale stools, dark urine (signs of reactivated hepatitis B)
  • Shortness of breath, difficulty breathing when lying down, swelling of legs (signs of heart failure)
  • Swelling and/or pain in one leg, redness or warmth (signs of a blood clot in the leg)
  • Sudden difficulty breathing, chest pain, and coughing up blood (signs of pulmonary embolism)
  • Significantly reduced urine output, swelling of legs, confusion, and back pain (signs of acute kidney failure)
  • Rash, itching, hives, difficulty breathing and swallowing, dizziness (signs of a severe allergic reaction)
  • Feeling weak, easy bleeding or bruising, and frequent infections (signs of low blood cell count)
  • Loss of taste
  • Coughing up blood
  • Missed periods
  • Chest pain
  • Abnormal wound healing
  • Hot flashes
  • Watery, itchy, or red eyes (conjunctivitis)
  • Swelling of face, eyes, mouth, or throat, difficulty breathing or swallowing (signs of a severe allergic reaction, angioedema)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Everolimus Krka if you are allergic to everolimus or similar medicines.
  • Tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, diabetes, or high cholesterol.
  • Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice during treatment, as they can dangerously increase the amount of medicine in your blood.
  • Do not use Everolimus Krka if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Use reliable contraception during treatment and for 8 weeks after.
  • Tell your doctor if you have an infection, have had hepatitis B, or are undergoing radiation therapy.

  • This medicine can weaken your immune system and increase your risk of infections.
  • The medicine can cause mouth sores. Talk to your doctor about how to manage them.
  • Inform your doctor if you have recently had surgery or your wounds have not healed.
  • Be careful when driving or operating machinery if you feel unusually tired.
