How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is 10 mg once a day. Your doctor will tell you how many tablets to take.

Method

Take the tablets whole with a glass of water, with or without food, at about the same time each day. Do not chew or crush them.

Important

The maximum daily dose is usually 10 mg, but your doctor may adjust it based on your health.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Fever, chills, or other signs of infection
  • Cough, shortness of breath, wheezing (signs of lung inflammation)
  • High blood sugar levels
  • Loss of appetite, changes in taste
  • Headache, dizziness, high blood pressure
  • Nosebleeds
  • Mouth sores, dry mouth, inflammation in mouth or digestive tract, difficulty swallowing
  • Stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, heartburn, stomach pain
  • Skin rash, itching, redness, dry skin, peeling, damage, acne, hand-foot syndrome
  • Feeling weak, tired, fatigue, pale skin, low red blood cell count (anemia), weight loss
  • Swelling (edema) of arms, hands, feet, ankles, or other body parts; swollen eyelids, lymphedema
  • High cholesterol or fat levels in blood
  • Easy bleeding or bruising (low platelet count)
  • Thirst, low urine output, dark urine, dry/red/irritated skin (signs of dehydration)
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Joint pain
  • Menstrual problems (e.g., irregular periods)
  • Low potassium, phosphate, or calcium in blood
  • Hair loss, nail changes (e.g., brittle nails)
  • Abnormal liver or kidney test results, protein in urine
RARE
  • Severe weakness, severe bleeding/bruising, frequent serious infections (low blood cell count)
  • Complete loss of taste
  • Coughing up blood
  • Complete absence of menstrual periods (amenorrhea)
  • More frequent urination during the day
  • Chest pain
  • Abnormal wound healing
  • Hot flashes
  • Watery, itchy, and red eyes (conjunctivitis)
  • Acute respiratory distress syndrome (severe breathing problems)
  • Severe allergic reaction with swelling of face, eyes, mouth, throat, or tongue, and difficulty breathing or swallowing (angioedema)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Everolimus Krka if you are allergic to everolimus or similar medicines.
  • Tell your doctor if you have liver problems, as your dose might need to be changed.
  • This medicine can increase blood sugar, especially if you have diabetes. Your doctor will monitor this.
  • Everolimus Krka can weaken your immune system, making you more prone to infections. Report any fever or signs of infection to your doctor.
  • Mouth sores are common. Your doctor may suggest mouth rinses or pause treatment.

  • This medicine can affect kidney function. Your doctor will check your kidneys regularly.
  • Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice while taking this medicine.
  • Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding. Women who can get pregnant must use effective birth control during and for 8 weeks after treatment.
  • Do not get vaccinated without talking to your doctor first.
  • Tell your doctor if you have recently had or will have radiation therapy.
